Simon Murgatroyd

Alan Ayckbourn's Archivist & Professional Writer

Exhibitions

During my career as an Archivist, I've been responsible for curating a number of exhibitions relating to Alan Ayckbourn, his mentor Stephen Joseph and the playwright's home theatre, the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough.

I was also responsible for
The Ayckbourn Collection becoming part of the Scarborough Museums and Galleries collections in 2023, having suggested and facilitated the donation of a curated collection of material relating to Alan Ayckbourn, his mentor and theatre in the round in perpetuity to Scarborough.

As a curator, I have had the advantage of having considerable expertise and experience with the subjects.
